Consultant Urological Surgeon & Andrologist

Ms Maria Satchi is a leading Consultant Urological Surgeon and Andrologist specialising in male fertility, men’s health and penoscrotal reconstructive urology. She is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Kings College London. 

 

With over a decade of specialist training and clinical experience, she is recognised for her expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex men’s health conditions, including male infertility, erectile dysfunction, varicocoele treatment, Peyronie’s disease, low testosterone, ejaculatory disorders, lichen sclerosus, and genital reconstruction.

 

She graduated from the University of Southampton with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science with Honours. She completed her specialist surgical and urology training followed by dedicated fellowship training in andrology, male fertility, and genital scrotal reconstruction at the Institute of Andrology, University College London Hospital, developing advanced microsurgical, reconstructive skills and experience in prosthetic urology.

 

Throughout her career, she has been committed to improving access to specialist andrology and fertility services. She established a regional male fertility and andrology service early in her consultant career introducing advanced microsurgical surgery expanding access to specialist care in the region. She continues to lead a large tertiary complex andrology service at Kings College Hospital, London and male fertility service at Kings Fertility in her role as Clinical Lead in Andrology and Male Infertility.

 

She is committed to patient advocacy and equity of access to care and has successfully led efforts to improve regional NHS IVF funding policies. She also serves on the advisory board of the Fertility Alliance, a national patient focused fertility charity, where she supports initiatives to improve awareness, access, and standards of care.

 

Her leadership and professional contributions have been recognised nationally, competitively securing a place on the Royal College of Surgeons Emerging Leaders Programme, completed in 2025. 

  • Ms Satchi is published in peer reviewed journals and serves on the editorial board of Trends in Men’s Health and Urology. She is in an expert in the field, speaking at national and international conferences.

    She is passionate about education and training, working in a large teaching hospital, and runs the national Royal Society of Medicine Urology Mock Interview Course annually for the last 10+ years, teaches annually on the BAUS FRCS Urology Revision Course and runs regional Andrology and Mens Health focused training days.

  • She is actively involved in shaping standards of care through her roles in national professional organisations, including her role in the Andrology and Genito-Urethral Surgery executive committee of the British Association of Urological Surgeons, the Andrology Special Interest Group of the British Fertility Society and The Urology Foundation Scientific Committee.

Male fertility

Assessment and treatment of issues affecting sperm quality, count, or delivery that impact the ability to conceive.

Andrology

Focuses on male reproductive and sexual health, including low testosterone, erectile dysfunction, and ejaculatory disorders.

Genito-scrotal reconstruction

Surgical repair or reconstruction of the genital and scrotal area due to trauma, cancer, congenital conditions, or infection.

Kidney & Bladder Stones
  • Robotic intrarenal stone surgery (RIRS)
